Deakins at AFI Fest Nov. 9
Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC will discuss the art of cinematography in a special presentation at AFI Fest on Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. at the TCL Chinese 6 multiplex.
Deakins will be interviewed by fellow ASC member Stephen Lighthill, chairman of the cinematography program at the AFI Conservatory. The conversation will cover several of Deakins' films, including the period drama Unbroken, which will be released in December. His recent credits also include Skyfall, Prisoners, True Grit, A Serious Man and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
Tickets are free and are being released online on a daily basis at www.afifest.com.
