Mark Doering-Powell Joins ASC
Raised in Germany and the United States, the cinematographer grew up immersed in art, drawing and painting.
The ASC recently welcomed cinematographer Mark Doering-Powell into the ranks of active membership.
Raised in Germany and the United States, Doering-Powell grew up immersed in art, drawing and painting. He interned with American artist Beverly Nevers before attending the Pratt Institute in New York City. He began his career behind the camera in New York, starting as a camera assistant.
Doering-Powell received two Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on Everybody Hates Chris. He has shot more than 300 hours of episodic television, including Super Fun Night, Twisted and Hindsight. His cinematography credits also include nine pilots and 12 features. He participated in the ASC/PGA Camera Assessment Series in 2009.
