Freeman, Jur Win Emmy Awards

The cinematographers were, respectively, honored for their work on the HBO projects Boardwalk Empire and Bessie.

ASC members Jonathan Freeman and Jeffrey Jur won 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Cinematography Sept. 12.




Freeman won for Single-Camera Series for the Boardwalk Empire episode "Golden Days for Boys and Girls," and Jur won in the category of Limited Series or Movie for Bessie. Both projects were HBO productions.




The win marked Freeman's third Emmy for Boardwalk Empire; he also won three ASC Awards for his work on the series, including one for "Golden Days for Boys and Girls."




Jur previously won an Emmy in the Single-Camera Series category for HBO's Carnivàle.
