Kuras, Sasaki to Present for Panavision in Poland
Both workshops will be moderated by American Cinematographer European correspondent Benjamin B.
ASC member Ellen Kuras and associate member Dan Sasaki will participate in workshops hosted by Panavision at the 2015 Camerimage International Film Festival on Poland on Nov. 17.
A cinematography workshop, set for 11 a.m., will feature demonstrations by Kuras and cinematographers Markus Förderer and Eduard Grau, AEC, who will shoot various scenes that compare spherical, anamorphic and larger-sensor formats.
Later in the day, at 3 p.m., Sasaki will discuss the technical and artistic characteristics of Panavision’s anamorphic and large-format lenses, including Ultra Panavision 70. Sasaki is the vice president of optical engineering for Panavision.
