New Members Celebrated at ASC Clubhouse
The doors were opened on Feb. 26 to help welcome the 45 cinematographers invited into the Society since 2020.
On Saturday, February 26, the ASC’s home in Hollywood since 1936 was opened for a special event to celebrate the 45 new Society members who have been invited to join since 2020.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions and the necessary closure of the facility, many had not yet had the opportunity to visit the Clubhouse as members, making this a special opportunity for all. And for those who could not attend in person, an online component was created, with discussion going both ways via Zoom.
You'll find profiles all of the 45 new Society members in our ASC News feed here.
Also attending at the Clubhouse were established ASC members Josh Bleibtreu, Patrick Cady, Paul Cameron, Chris Chomyn, Dean Cundey, Gregg Heschong, Mark Irwin, Shelly Johnson, Wayne Kennan, Jacek Laskus, Patti Lee, Charlie Lieberman, Karl-Walter Lindenlaub, Suki Medencevic, Charles Minsky, Donald M. Morgan, George Mooradian, Vern Nobles Jr., Christopher Probst, Nancy Schreiber, Steven Shaw, Ueli Steiger and David Stump.
Also there were ASC CEO Terry McCarthy, ASC Events Coordinator Patty Armacost and American Cinematographer Editor-in-Chief Stephen Pizzello.
The next major event to be held in person at the Clubhouse will be the 36th Annual ASC Awards ceremony on March 20, which will also feature a livestream of the show and additional online components.
