American Cinematographer Earns Four Folio: Award Nominations
Nominations include coverage on Mission: Impossible — Fallout, First Man, How It Ends and Robert Richardson, ASC.
AC was nominated for four 2019 Folio: Eddie and Ozzie Awards, which is the most prestigious awards program in the publishing community.
Folio: is the trade magazine of the publishing industry that recognizes business-to-business, regional, association and consumer publications.
AC was nominated for Best Single Issue in the B-to-B media and entertainment category for two issues: September 2018 and November 2018, featuring cover stories on Mission: Impossible — Fallout, photographed respectively by Rob Hardy, BSC and First Man, shot by Linus Sandgren, ASC, FSF.
For Best Single Article in the B-to-B media and entertainment category, AC received two nominations: “Long Road Home,” written by AC associate editor Andrew Fish, and “Without Limits,” written by longtime contributing writer Patricia Thomson.
“Long Road Home” — which was featured in the September 2018 issue — detailed coverage of the Netflix production How It Ends, shot by Peter Flinckenberg, FSF. “Without Limits,” — featured in the February 2019 issue — profiles Robert Richardson, ASC, recipient of the 2019 ASC Lifetime Achievement Award.
Last year, AC took home one Folio: Award.
Winners in all categories will be announced on October 30 at the Folio: Show awards gala in New York City.
