Aputure has released the Storm 400x point-source fixture; the CF7 Fresnel with Barn Doors Kit; the Storm Parallel Beam 70; and the Spotlight Mini accessory for the Storm 80c.

The Storm 400x features the Blair light engine, which delivers a 2,500-10,000K CCT range as well as full ASC MITC range +/- Green adjustment. The solution can output saturated colors across more than 70 percent of the Rec.2020 color space, controllable in Limited HSIC+ and x,y modes. Like the rest of the Storm line, it offers extreme low-end dimming, an IP65 rating, professional connectivity and a ProLock Locking Bowens Mount.

Optimized for the 400x, the CF7 Fresnel and Barn Doors Kit is a 7" Bowens Mount Fresnel with included eight-leaf barn doors. Its beam range adjusts from 15 to 40 degrees. The dual-expanding focusing system with multiple lens elements reduces size and weight without compromising optical performance.

The Storm Parallel Beam 70 is a 28"-diameter true Cassegrain mirror system optimized for the Storm XT52. The optical design delivers a 5-degree beam of coalesced light that can be used directly without distorted shadows. The solution is optimized for peak efficiency at distances of 33' or more.

The Spotlight Mini is a compact, ellipsoidal projector that transforms the Storm 80c into a light-shaping tool capable of creating controlled beams. Its rotating barrel allows for the granular orientation of both the integrated four-leaf cutter and modifiers. It comes with a 19-degree or 36-degree lens, and there is room in the soft case for both lenses. An adjustable iris is available as an optional accessory.

Aputure has also announced the Nova II, the first panel light to utilize the Blair-CG light engine. The company will preview the solution at IBC next month.
