Arri Adds Four Signature Zooms
The new focal lengths are 16-32mm, 24-75mm, 45-135mm and 65-300mm, and Arri will also release a dedicated 1.7x extender for the 65-300mm.
Arri has announced four T2.8 Signature Zoom lenses designed for use with any large-format or Super 35 camera. The focal lengths are 16-32mm, 24-75mm, 45-135mm and 65-300mm, and Arri will also release a dedicated 1.7x extender for the 65-300mm that will make it a 110-510mm (T4.9).
All four lenses offer HDR compatibility, 8K resolving power and a lightweight mechanical design. They also share the detachable magnetic rear filter holder of the Signature Primes, allowing users to change and personalize the look of the entire Signature lens system.
Equipped with an LPL lens mount — an open, universal standard for cross-format shooting — the Signature Zooms can be used with any large-format or Super 35 camera from any manufacturer. The built-in Arri LDS-2 Lens Data System simplifies complex tasks on set and in post.
The 45-135mm and 65-300mm Signature Zooms will be released in early 2021 along with the 1.7x extender for the 65-300mm. The 16-32mm and 24-75mm will be released later in 2021.
