Blackmagic Design has announced the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K and the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2.

The Cinema Camera 6K (pictured above with optional EVF) features a full-frame (6,048 x 4,032) 6K sensor, 13 stops of dynamic range, L-Mount lens mount and dual-native ISO up to 25,600. Users can shoot up to 36 fps at full-sensor resolution or 120 fps windowed.

With a large diameter of 51.6mm, L-Mount works with the latest full-frame lenses from manufacturers such as Leica, Panasonic and Sigma. A short flange distance of 20mm means users can easily add adapters for a variety of lens mounts without impacting image quality.

The Cinema Camera 6K can shoot in all standard resolutions and frame rates from HD up to DCI 4K and 6K. It will shoot up to 36 fps at 6048 x 4032 3:2 open gate or 60 fps at 6048 x 2520 2.4:1 and 60 fps at 4096 x 2160 4K DCI. The camera features a built-in CFexpress card recorder and a USB-C expansion port for recording directly to external flash media disks or an SSD.

A bright, 5" HDR touchscreen makes it easy to frame shots and accurately focus. Onscreen overlays show status and record parameters, histogram, focus-peaking indicators, levels, frame guides and more. Customers can apply 3D LUTs for monitoring shots with the desired color and look. The LCD monitor can be tilted up to 180 degrees flat and down to 47 degrees.

The camera supports an optional viewfinder, which mounts to the top of the camera with a single screw. The camera uses NP-F570 batteries. A locking DC-power connector means you won't have to worry about losing power during a shoot. The included AC plug pack can power the camera or charge the battery when the camera is not in use.

The Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K lists for $2,595 and is available now.

The Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 retains the compact design of the original model but is upgraded with a 4K digital film sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual-native ISO up to 25,600. The camera also adds 12G-SDI for operation up to 2160p60 and a high-speed USB-C expansion port.

With the MFT lens mount, the camera is compatible with a range of photographic lenses from Olympus, Panasonic, Sigma and other manufacturers. The camera includes a common 12V DC locking power connector and also supports a standard LP-E6 compatible battery. An adapter can also be used to connect the camera to V-Lock batteries.

The Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 will be available in October and will list for $995.

Blackmagic Design has also released Blackmagic Camera, which adds digital film-camera controls to the Apple iPhone. Support for Blackmagic Cloud allows creators to collaborate and share media with multiple editors and colorists around the world instantly. Blackmagic Camera is now available from the Apple App Store free of charge.

Blackmagic Design has also released DaVinci Resolve 18.6 and Fusion Studio 18.6.
