Blackmagic Design has released Cloud Store 1.2, a new 16TB model of the Cloud Store Mini network-storage solution, and Blackmagic Camera 8.6 Public Beta.

Cloud Store 1.2 provides greater security by offering administrator-controlled access to read, write and edit privileges through secure user logins. This update also includes better syncing to Dropbox and improved sync speed to Google Drive accounts.

In addition to offering increased storage, the 16TB Cloud Store Mini features a 10G Ethernet connection and four internal M.2 flash-memory cards operating in parallel RAID 0. With Dropbox and Google Drive live sync, files can be distributed among multiple units globally for very fast local file access, even on lower-cost internet connections.

The 16TB Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini lists for $2,995.

Blackmagic Camera 8.6 Public Beta adds support for cloud workflows on Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and Cinema Camera 6K. The update enables users to upload clips from the camera’s new media pool to Blackmagic Cloud and even upload directly to DaVinci Resolve projects. The update also adds webcam support from the USB‑C connection of Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and Cinema Camera 6K, among other enhancements.
