Cooke Enters Large-Format Market with Panchro 65/i Series
Engineered for 65mm-imager cameras, the series features six prime lenses that deliver the signature Panchro look and are equipped with intelligent /i technology.
Cooke Optics has announced its entry into the large-format market with the Panchro 65/i Lens Series, specifically engineered for 65mm-imager cameras.
The new prime-lens line will bring the signature Panchro look to larger formats. The series will comprise six focal lengths: 30mm, 40mm, 55mm, 75mm, 100mm and 152mm. On an Arri Alexa 65, this set gives a horizontal angle-of-view range from 84.1-20.2 degrees, and on the forthcoming Blackmagic Ursa Cine 17K 65, this would be 80.5-19 degrees. On these cameras, the 30mm focal length would facilitate an angle of view slightly wider than the S8/i 21mm on a full-frame camera.
The 55mm, 75mm and 100mm offer a maximum T-stop of T2.5; the 30mm and 40mm offer T2.8, and the 152mm offers T2.9. All lenses offer a minimum T-Stop of T22. The Panchro 65/i series will be the first 65mm-format smart-lens series equipped with Cooke’s latest /i technology.
Cooke will release the Panchro 65/i Lens Series in 2025 and will announce the launch date shortly.
