Fuzzy Door Tech has released ViewScreen Studio, a visualization tool that enables real-time simulcam of visual effects, and ViewScreen Scout, an app for iPhone.

ViewScreen Studio visualizes and animates a complete scene, including digital assets, in real time and for multiple cameras simultaneously. The software helps camera operators visualize digital characters, props and environments directly in their viewfinder or monitor and frame them accordingly. The tool also saves the assets and their movements so the visual-effects team can reuse the takes directly instead of redoing work from scratch during postproduction.

ViewScreen Scout is an app designed for iPhone that enables users to visualize and record how digital assets will look on a location or soundstage during scouting. Scouts can drop in digital assets while viewing a location on their device and define animation paths easily via waypoints. Both apps run on off-the-shelf iOS and Mac devices.

Fuzzy Door Tech founder Seth MacFarlane used the suite of tools on the Hulu series The Orville: New Horizons and the Peacock series Ted.
