Nanlux Announces Evoke 150C, 600C
The fixtures incorporate the company’s new Nebula C8 light engine.
The Nanlux Evoke 150C and Evoke 600C feature the company’s new Nebula C8 light engine, which integrates deep red, red, amber, lime, green, cyan, blue and indigo emitters to cover the visible color spectrum.
The Evoke 150C is a compact, 150-watt, full-color light that can run off AC, V-mount batteries or USB-PD power. Its lightweight metal build is IP66-rated for use in harsh conditions. It uses the new FE mount, which has automated modifier recognition and control with appropriate attachments and is also compatible with the existing FM-mount accessory ecosystem. The FE mount incorporates the Nanlux PosiTight system, ensuring a secure dual-safety connection between fixture and accessory. The side of the fixture has a new tilt-locking mechanism with angle indicator to simplify repeat alignment; the offset design of the mechanism expands tilt range for large modifiers. There are three 1/4"-20 anti-twist threads on both sides and the top, providing flexible mounting for controllers, adapters or added safety when rigging.
The Evoke 600C is a full-color point-source light that features the new BE-mount, which can recognize compatible modifiers and control an optional motorized Fresnel. It is compatible with a wide range of Bowens-mount accessories and, via an adapter, is also compatible with NL-mount modifiers. The fixture outputs 20,820 lux at 10' (with a 25-degree reflector, 5,600K).
Nanlux’s Nebula C8 light engine builds on the company’s RGBLAC six-color engine by adding deep red and indigo, colors that fill the gaps in the spectrum found in traditional color engines. In addition, Nebula C8 supports ±200 green/magenta adjustment across the entire CCT range, allowing precise tint control at any color temperature. With the addition of deep red, the Nebula C8 achieves a CCT range of 1,000-20,000K.
The Nanlux Evoke 150C lists for $1,080, and the Evoke 600C lists for $2,580. The company will showcase both solutions at IBC in Amsterdam Sept. 12-15 (Booth 12.F21).
