Blackmagic Design has announced its Ursa Cine 12K LF has been added to the Netflix Approved Camera List.

The list highlights the capture requirements necessary to be qualified as an approved camera by the streamer, including dynamic range, resolution, codec and workflow compatibility. Netflix requires 90 percent of a program’s final total runtime to be captured on approved cameras.

Blackmagic Design has also announced updates to DaVinci Resolve, Fusion Studio and Blackmagic Cloud Store.

DaVinci Resolve 19.1.3 improves cache clearing when using the delete unused render cache tool and provides better support for previews of user-generated Fusion effects. Fusion Studio 19.1.3 improves metadata retention of OpenEXR files as well as general performance and stability. Blackmagic Cloud Store 1.5 adds faster sync setup and alphabetical sorting to Blackmagic Cloud organizations in the Cloud Store utility, as well as improvements to guest-user account access and permissions.
