Sigma Unveils 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN Art
The new zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless camera systems is available for Sony E-mount and L-Mount.
Sigma Corp. of America has introduced the Sigma 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN | Art zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless camera systems.
Available for Sony E-mount and L-Mount, the lens features High-response Linear Actuator autofocus and includes a lockable aperture ring with click/declick function, as well as two AFL buttons and a zoom lock switch. It offers a dust- and splash-resistant design and water- and oil-repellant coating on the front element.
A minimum focusing distance of 15.8" at all focal lengths and maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.1 at the telephoto end add to its versatility. A rounded 12-blade diaphragm helps to keep the large-aperture unit as small as possible. The lens weighs less than 2 pounds; the lens barrel near the mount is made of magnesium rather than aluminum, ensuring rigidity while reducing weight.
The Sigma 28-105mm F2.8 DG DN | Art lists for $1,499 and will begin shipping in late September.
The company has also announced it will release the Sigma 10-18mm F2.8 DC DN | Contemporary lens for Canon RF Mount. The new version lists for $659 and will begin shipping in late September.
