The newest hit series for HBO Max is the video-game adaptation of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. The nine-episode first season stars Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) as our protagonists travel across an infection-ravaged America, encountering a plethora of human villains and proving again what The Walking Dead has been telling us for more than a decade — the real monsters out there are other people.
