Arri Interviews Deakins at Cannes
In an interview with Arri at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC, discussed why he finds storyboards useful, why he uses one LUT on set, and some of the ways in which he and director Denis Villeneuve prepped Sicario, which was screened in competition at the festival.
Deakins cited the still photography of Alex Webb as one influence on the project, and also discussed how he used the Arri Alexa in Open Gate mode on the shoot.
