Cine Gear Expo Technical Awards Recognize 7 Technologies
A panel of industry experts led by Peter Anderson, ASC, recognized seven companies with 2015 Cine Gear Expo Technical Awards earlier this month. The judges considered close to 100 technologies that were introduced in the United States this year.
The winners were:

Camera Subgroup: Arri Inc. for the Alexa Mini
Monitor Subgroup: Sony Electronics for the BVM-X300 4K

There were also some honorable mentions: Cineo Lighting for The Cineo Matchbox Light, Innocinema/Action Products for Runner, Flanders Scientific for the DM250 OLED monitor, ETC for Source Four LED Series 2 Daylight HD and Tungsten HD Lights, Macom for the 12G-SDI Chipset, DPS Cinema for Enhanced Environments, LaCie for the 48TB 8big Rack Thunderbolt Raid, and Filmotechnic for the Auto Robot Mini (Russian Arm Mini).
Anderson was joined on the judges’ panel by Dwight Campbell, Dana Christiaansen, Gary Ushino, Daron James, Harry Rez, Mark Weingartner, Joe di Gennaro and Mike Brodersen.
