ASC Welcomes New Member Eric Branco

Eric Branco, ASC cites visits to “the great museums of New York” and several New York City Public School teachers as key influences in his formative years — they helped open his eyes to the possibility of a career in the arts. The Bronx native studied acting at HB Studio before enrolling in the film program at the School of Visual Arts. When film school proved too expensive, he dropped out and found work in the lighting department, taking advantage of the indie-film boom of the early 2000s. “I really learned how to light while working for young DPs in New York,” he says.
