Panasonic Enhances Lumix S5IIX, Updates S5II

The addition of Blackmagic Raw compatibility is among the new features.

Panasonic Corp. of North America has announced additional features for the Lumix S5IIX and a firmware update for the Lumix S5II.


The Lumix S5IIX will now offer Blackmagic Raw compatibility in addition to ProRes Raw. The camera also features expanded compatibility with external devices, plus support for Atomos Ninja V, Shogun Connect and Ninja V+.


The Lumix S5II V2 firmware update will be available June 13 and will add raw data output over HDMI (requires Software Upgrade Key DWW-SFU2), in addition to adding Blackmagic Raw compatibility. Live View Composite, which is pre-installed on the Lumix S5IIX, is also among the new features included in the firmware update.
