Goi and Deschanel Team for A.I. in Cinematography Talk at March 24-28 ASC Master Class
All cinematographers must understand how Artificial Intelligence is becoming a new tool for imagemaking.
During the upcoming ASC Master Class (March 24-28 in Los Angeles), Society members Caleb Deschanel and Michael Goi will team with A.I. content creator Ellenor Argyropoulos to demonstrate working with A.I. video developed live from still images and text prompts. This will be followed by a discussion with a panel of ASC members on how they utilize A.I. for their pitch decks, prep, production and post.
Cinematographer, director and producer Michael Goi is the chair of the ASC’s A.I. Committee and was recently honored with the Society's Career Achievement in Television Award. Perhaps best known for his provocative camerawork on American Horror Story, his most recent project was Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Caleb Deschanel’s feature credits include The Right Stuff (1983), The Natural (1984), National Treasure (2004), Jack Reacher (2012) and The Lion King (2019). He was honored with the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.
The ASC Master Class is an intensive five-day seminar designed for cinematographers who want to master an intermediate-to-advanced skill set. Instruction takes place in Hollywood and covers lighting and camera techniques and current workflow practices. All necessary equipment is provided.
