Guillermo del Toro: Fantastical Visions

In addition to completing a passion project with Netflix’s lavish production of Frankenstein, shot by Dan Laustsen, ASC, DFF (AC Dec. ’25), the Guadalajara-born filmmaker received a Special Recognition honor for Cinematographic Merit at the Ariel Awards, Mexico’s equivalent of the Academy Awards — and this year, on March 8, he will be honored with the ASC Board of Governors Award.
