Imax, Cinemark Expand Imax Footprint

Imax Corp. and Cinemark Holdings Inc. are joining forces to bring new Imax 70mm film systems and Imax with Laser to 17 Cinemark locations in the United States and South America. Under the terms of the agreement, Cinemark will add four new Imax with Laser systems in the U.S. (and actively explore one additional location in South America); activate three additional Imax 70mm film-projection systems; and upgrade 12 systems to Imax with Laser, making the entirety of Cinemark’s U.S. Imax footprint Imax with Laser.
